i just purchased 08 XC70, the stereo and climate control dont work and we have checked the fuses and the wires, all seems to be good so looking into purchasing one off bay. My question is what numbers need to match in order for me to plug it in and it work? i dont want to have to reprogram it after i get it.

 

xemodex.com might know if used climate modules would be plug and play.

But you should use a compatible scanner to talk to all the control units before randomly replacing parts. It's always best to diagnose before replacing stuff you don't need.

For instance - if there's a connection problem in the can bus network - the CCM (climate) and ICM (infotainment ) modules are on their own "leg" of the network, and can be disconnected without causing problems in the network. Those systems won't work if there's a connection problem in the network wires.
