I ran into a problem with my car this weekend.

When stopped, while in park, the RPMs shot up. I killed it, and couldn't restart it.

I have had MAF sensor issues with it in the past, and thought this could be the problem. I pulled the wires for it, and it started right up.

I plugged the MAF back in it, and it died. I then pulled the wires and attempted to drive home about 20 miles with it. It started smoking a lot, so I pulled over and let it set.

I then couldn't start it.

I replaced the MAF. All I could get my hands on were a remanufactured one. Cardone or some other off brand.

As it is now, it will barely start and run, with or without the MAF plugged in. I almost have to have the throttle buried to start it, and then after it starts, it runs very very rough. I reduce the throttle, and then the RPMs will pick up. Then it will rev and Idle fine. Except it smokes. Massive amounts of white smoke.

Does anyone know what is wrong with it, or want to buy it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Out of curiosity, if I parted out major parts of this thing, how much would they be worth? I am confident the turbo is fine, the engine might have a problem or it might be a bad head gasket. Pretty much everything on the car works.

Any thoughts? How difficult would selling them be?

 

My guess would be that it burnt a valve.

If the car is very clean and you don't mind going through the hassle of shipping a lot of stuff you can double your money parting it out. Won't be fun but you really need the money go for it.
