i removed the cat and and put on a diffrent muffler and the car smokes a little any ideas to why this may be?

 

1. Why did you remove the CAT?

2. What muffler did you install?

 

the cat had 200,000 on it and was starting to smell bad it has flow master muffler on it till the new exaust sytem is mad for it

With a bad cat (or without the cat) I can understand a high mileage car smoking slightly. Replacing the cat will help. I imagine switching to a thicker viscosity oil will help eliminate some of the smoking as well. (could be a sign of worn piston rings).

 

the motor has about 115,00 on it i believe
