Look for advice please:
replaced fuel pump, (hole cut), new pump makes priming sound- but it’s not pumping fuel (tank has fuel to bottom of the pump access hole-and the new pump is reading 12 gallons on instrument panel). The power to the pump is reading just under 11 volts, the battery is at 12.6 volts, I tested the ground and it’s good. After finding no pressure at the rail, I disconnected the fuel lines at the pump and nothing’s coming out, even though it’s making normal pump noise. This is an aftermarket pump but it’s identical to the original. I suspect bad pump. Any thoughts? (I also swapped the pump relay, and verified spark.) thanks!
