2009 Volvo V70...hard start...fuel pump?
I have a 2009 Volvo V70 with 70k. First start of the day it is missing out and has actually thrown code for cylinder misfire. My local mechanic found it had low fuel pressure at fuel rail and wnats to replace fuel pump. It starts and runs fine through the day but first start is usually the problem. As a note I brought it up from Miami into Indiana winter this year but it was doing it before it got cold as well. I just don't want to go to the expense of replacing fuel pump to find out it was a sensor or some other problem...seems low miles for a bad fuel pump? Also for this year can you access the fuel pump through rear seat?

I do believe it is under the rear seat, but your better off taking a fuel pressure gauge and actually testing it through the port on the fuel rail instead of using the computer if they did that. If pressure seems fine, check spark plugs, your at that mileage for those to be replaced. If it is the sensor, I think they only run about $40-50. Still better than a pump, which like you said shouldn't be dying at that mileage, even if driven very spirited.
