2018 v90 CC Tow ball bike rack
I need to transport one 50lb ebike. Will Volvo clip-on bike carrier (part number 31664718) made by Thule, specifically for Volvo for their tow ball hitch, support this weight? Any other ideas for mounting a bike carrier, preferably a platform style, on my v90? Thanks.

I've logged a lot of miles with a rear mounted bike rack similar to that, much prefer that location to on top of the car. Never used an official Volvo tow bar though. Assuming (dangerous I know) that they figure in a few pounds more for safety you should be OK. Naturally I'd mount it on the most inward position.
When feasible I remove wheels and stow them inside the cabin if I'm going any distance for antitheft reasons. Don't park around a college and you'll likely not have to worry about thieves.
Features:
- Steel Towbar Hitch Mounted Volvo V90 Cross Country Bicycle Rack
- Holds up to two bicycles
- Towbar 2 Inches (50.8 mm)
- Maximum Load 66 pounds
