My daughter has a 1987 245 DL. The other day, she pointed out her rear lights are not all working. The only one that does is her brake light, but it is now performing all functions, like blinking when the turn signal is on, lighting up when in reverse. The other wired have no power on either side, just those two wires. The high mount brake light is working though. Any suggestions on what might be the issue. I also checked the fuses, and they are good....

 

corrosion on the contacts
remove the bulb holders and clean the contacts
slightly bend the contacts to make better a connection
I use a Scots Brite pad or pencil eraser to clean them
dielectric grease to help keep it away


I've found trailer wiring to be a problem sometime

I al re eady scrubbed the connections clean with a wire brush and lectromotive spray. There is only power running to the two wires for the brake light, and i can touch them to the other bulbs and they light up. My next stop either today or tomorrow is going to be the flex circuit boars to see if that corroded over and bridged the wires or something...
