Those pix are great. You have a really nice lookin car. I have a 740GL sitting waiting to go to the big car breakers in the sky. I live in scotland and unfortunately they layer the roads with salt like it's going out of fashion. Needless to say it takes it's toll eventually on the chassis. It has nice chrome wheel arches and just had a new carburetor fitted last year, it goes like a scalded cat but will cost too much to fix. I would have liked to buy another 740 but there getting scarce here, so i got a 850 T5. It doesnt have the character a 740 has although it does go like **** off a shovel. Would you like me to post pics of my 740 before it goes? It's lookin a bit sad these days and would like a cheering up before it becomes a stock car and knocks seven bells out of all other cars on the track!

I'll try to get them uploaded soon. I should probably say that the last 740 I had became a stock car also. It went for 110 miles of racing and even made it onto television over here doing stock car racing whilst towing a caravan. Apparently it was the furthest any car had ever gone for the guy. I say if you gotta get rid of them let them go out in style doing the thing they are best at, smashin other cars and comin out untouched!

Im just bein stupid now. How do I upload pix of the car? I went post reply and clicked image but all it did was put 'image' in the comments box. You'll laugh when I tell you what I do for a living. But I'm usually not sober, scottish you see!

 

Once you click the "Click here to upload" in the reply screen and it opens the box then you have to click Browse and find the picture in your computer.

Or if all else fails E-mail them to me and I will post them for you.

Nice ride, I like the hood paint treatment, like a BOSS 740.
The stock turbo wheels are still the best body match I've seen, keep them.

 

i plan too, no one else has em, they might be 15's but idc....id rather be unique

U guys not like my 240 alloys about to get scrapped? and the neat little trims over the wheel arches....also gettin scrapped too.... boo hoo. I love that car . it breaks my heart to get rid of it. even just say the pics are crap and go away.... ah the computer of the 850..... I work in IT. I WORK WITH THE DARN THINGS!!!!!! Please some one have a heart and understand a man who just wants a sterring wheel and 2 tonnes of swedish magnificence around him, no computers..nothin. I'll have pics hopeful;ly soon of the last volvo I sent to certain doom. I dont like doing it but that salt gets those babies. booooo hooooo!!!!!!!!!
