Default 850 engine replacement

I am new to Volvo and just aquireda'94 850about 6 months ago. The one I purchased had some engine and transmission issues that I was well aware of going in. It was running fine but the transmission was getting worse and my wife was concerned it would fail this winter so I found a used engine and tranny with low miles in a wrecked car. Changed them out in a weekend and all is well......Untill I try to start it up and it don't. It turns over fine but does not seem to be getting any fuel. I'm sure I crossed a vacumm hose some where but the diagrams never make since to me. Anyone have any ideas which one I got crossed or if that could even be it?? Any help would be great.

First you need to find out for sure what you are missing. Fuel,Spark?

I just put the finnishing touches on last night and tried cranking it up. I didn't have any fuel pressure at the manifold. It was late so called it a night and went inside and broke out the book to see where I went wrong. Went to sleep rerouting the vacumm lines in my head.....I will tackle in this evening when I get home.. I'm thinking it has to be a vacumm line as everything else went back pretty smooth...Unless of course there was something wrong with the new engine that I missed before I stuck it in...Of course that never happens

If you have all signals and items. Gas,spark and injector pulse and it doesn't start before you crank it to much let me know and I will tell you something to try.

I cannot see a vacuum line stopping it from running.

You were right it wasn't a vacumm line causing my problem. It was the small plastic plug that the wrecking yard was so good to put in the end of the fuel line so it didn't git full of dirt . I figuered it was just something I had missed. With the bell on the end of the fuel line the small plastic plug could not be seen. When I did my checks I found I had no fuel at the fuel rail but had good pressure at the other end of the short line going over the top of the engine. A air hose pushed the blockage out. I checked the return line and sure enough it also had a plastic plug still in place......Still not sure about the vacumm lines but it seems to run good and no trouble codes.....First time since I owned the car that I never had a trouble code......
