Hi all,
have a 86 240 dl wagon with manual tranny/overdrive. Problem is that while cruising along the overdrive just pops out and back in sparodiclly.

 

I think that overdrive is in the rear axle. Check to make sure the fluid level is good there (service it). Post back when you find out more info or get it fixed please.

 

i had an 84 turbo with OD. I chnged the solenoid and all was well. Replacing it was the problem, you will need a very slin box end wrence, forgot what size, but remember i had to grind one down and cut it short to get into it. Good luck.
