87 240 wagon
any thoughts on buying an 87 240 wagon stick shift . needs a lower ball joint , a tie rod , engine mounts and a caliper. was told it would be about a 400.00 fix. wagon body is solid 160k on motor. loved my old 740 and my cherokee just bit the dust. hate to get into a car payment and hope for ssome thoughts on this particular model. anything else I should look for in the way of potential problems . thanks for any and all advice
The 240 is one of the cheapest cars to drive and own. They are very tough, reliable and long lasting.Even repairs are fairly simple and uncomplicated.Engine is solid too.Everything is great about it,so Congrats! I love driving stickshift!
'87 was not a good year for the wiring harness on that car, be sure to check that throughly. Other than that you could look at this guide for extras... Buying a Used 7xx/9xx
