Default 940 Heated seats

I just replaced the Heated seat relays. The heaters turn on and heat gradually but only get somewhat warm not sure if they are suppose to get really toasty warm. Anybody know if they are suppose to get really warm?

They do get really warm. I have to turn mine off. You may need new heating elements.

I believe there is a sensor in them that is suppose to keep them off if the temp in the car is above 57 degrees. Then when they do come on, they will cycle but they feel a little warm to me. I think they are suppose to cut off at 112 degrees. I'll check the manual at http://www.volvocars.com/us/tools/Ow...lvoOwners.aspx

Info from the on-line owners manual: https://www.customers.volvocars.com/...1_11.html#1.14

The heated front seats can be switched on and off as required. When switched on, the system senses the ambient temperature and regulates the level of heat applied. When the optimum temperature is reached, the heating is switched off automatically.
While driving, the passenger seat heating should be switched off when the seat is not occupied.
