96 850 Turbo Wagon or 98 V70 Base Wagon
I'm looking to purchase a used Volvo wagon. I prefer the 850 and V70 bodystyles (93-2000) and have found two decent local candidates. #1 is a '96 850 turbo wagon with 96k and good records of consistent maintenance for $3,500.
#2 is a '98 V70 base wagon (non turbo) with LOW miles (50k) but not many options (except automatic transmission or sunroof)). It has manual cloth seats, climate control, and alloy spoked wheels and is IMMACULATE for $5,900.
I'm looking for reliablity, gas mileage and cheaper repair and maintenance costs. I'm not a speed demon, but like a nice highway car.
Please advise.
