Hey guys,
I have a 1998 S70 GLT, it has 186xxx miles on the engine, it is automatic. Just recently (Tonight) when i start my car/ shift into neutral the rpms go from just under 1000, about 970 down to about 800, and fluctuate in that range. When i put it into drive and feed gas it sputters and shudders forward, but doesn't get above 1500. After letting off the gas for a second and feeding again, everything goes back to normal. I've read about the idle control body going bad, fuel relay and so forth. There are no error lights or anything illuminated. Is it a transmission issue?? Does anyone have any ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
A fellow Volvo enthusiast
