Default becoming a service adviser?

Hey all,
I just joined this forum today actually after spending some time reading it on my lunch break...I work at Volvo as a service receptionist, but I totally think I could be a service adviser. Anyone know what you have to do to become one? I know a bit about Volvos (though not the cars I'm accustomed to working with, I've started getting used to them over the months) and since the service shop I work in seems to be constantly short staffed in terms of advisers, I want to know what I have to do to become one (and I'm sure the pay grade's a little better than my current one). Any tips/advice welcome! Thank you!

Your best bet is to talk to your service manager. Each dealership is a little different with how they train advisors.
