Default Bike spoke STUCK in trunk latch on 2018 XC90

Stuffed my bike in the trunk and closed the trunk door as far as I could so everything was held firm. Went to open the trunk to pull it out, and the door latch has grabbed onto the spoke! What the hell can I do? I don't think the latch can go any direction except IN, which isn't possible because the spoke is blocking it. Can't come out either I assume? Is my only option to CUT the spoke? To help with you understanding what's stuck, when the door goes up, the bike goes up with it.

replacing a spoke is pretty easy. What I'd do first is to try and remove the wheel from the bike frame and then see if you can move the wheel to see if changing angles allows the spoke to unhook itself from the latch. I don't think you can easily disassemble the latch - its kind of a bolt in as one piece. If moving the wheel/spoke angle around doesn't work, I'd just cut the spoke and slide it out.

Thanks - I ended up doing just that, cutting the spoke. After I did that, it seemed like I could have hit the unlock truck button to release the latch but I could be wrong. Just to help the next guy.... Thank you -

Wow, that's a really clever idea! I haven't had to replace a spoke myself, but that sounds like the most efficient way to do it. If you're looking for some more advice, I'd suggest asking around the forum to see if anyone else has some tips. Good luck!
