The trunk lid will not open when the latch is pulled. I suspect the linkage between the latch handle and the latch mechanism may be broken. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to get the trunk lid open?

 

Good luck last time I had one like that it took me about 2 hours and lots of battery's in the flashlight.

You have to go through the SKI door and pull the trunk panel off and try to open that way. If not the try to release the lower plastic panel to gain access to the screws to remove the catch that the trunk lock onto.
