Default Brakes on Ebay ? 2005 V50 T5 AWD

So, my '05 T5 AWD V50 needs brakes - Fronts now, rears very soon.

I'm quoted by my "go to guy" $300 per axle installed.

Is it worth paying less on Ebay? There are SO MANY different kits on Ebay - I don't even know where to start.

If shopping on Ebay, what should I be specifically looking for? (Names of parts, etc.)

Thanks!

This is a pressing issue since I have to drive to Philly next weekend and need time to have them shipped, if Ebay is the way to go. Thanks

Quite frankly, for this type of item, I would never buy off ebay unless I have researched the exact item by manufacturer and part elsewhere and know it is exactly what I want. In other threads here it is a pretty constant theme that aftermarket brake pads produce very unsatisfactory results, including rattle, squealing, etc. IPD is a really good place to find parts for Volvo's because they only do Volvo parts and they do a good job of policing the offerings to sell only what people are happy with, so I always go there first. Doesn't mean I always buy there, but once I know what they are selling I can shop it elsewhere like ebay, RockAuto, etc. Personally I would go with ceramic.
