Buy a new S60L made in China?
I recently saw some news articles about Volvo Cars to import to the U.S. some of a unique model made for the China market. This model is basically a slightly lengthened S60 model. For those who may not remember, Ford sold Volvo Cars to a Chinese company, Geely Motors in 2010.
The car itself sounds like it could fare well in the U.S., as the extra length is used for more backseat legroom.
My question to my fellow Volvo Forums members is this: Would anyone here consider purchasing one of these when they come to our shores?
Is anyone else here reluctant to buy not just a new model but one built in a new factory under new ownership in a country that has not previously imported any other cars to speak of.
