Newbie question here, and I’m sure this subject has been covered before, but please help this new owner with a question
For a little background, I recently purchased a 2012 C30 R Design with a m66 transmission.

I have a question, is there a difference between the front struts for a post facelift C30 R Design and a non R Design C30?

best way to tell is to use a dealer web store to see part numbers. That may also give you some clues as to other things like the suspension's color code etc. Just have your VIN handy. You may also find the suspension's code on the build plate.

you can google around - I've seen decoders posted on other forums like Matthews, or call a Volvo friendly web store like IPD USA or FCP Euro who have all the parts catalog info. As far a dealer web stores go, I use Tasca Parts - great prices plus they are nearby in Rhode Island (at least for those of us in New England).
