C70- Alarm drain and no no power

C70- Alarm drain and no no power
My mother-in-law’s 2007 C70 had the alarm service message and the battery was draining. I understand about the siren battery issue. I went to work on it and there is no power. Key fob does nothing. It makes a sound when you put the key in but no dash lights no nothing. Hazards don’t even work. It has a brand new battery. Is that the alarm theft system doing this? I need help!
