Default C70 very weird problem - PLEASE HELP !!!!

The best Volvo mechanic in Raleigh can't solve this problem!!. Here it is:
Car starts great - runs OK when cold - when it gets warm it dies when you try to drive it.
Replaced: fuel pump & filter; electronic throttle; knock sensors; battery; alternator; hard code reset; no cat converter is OK; cleaned PCV system.

If you unhook battery and hold the positive and negative cables together to clear all electricity from the system it will run great but once you shut it off it goes back to the same problem.

AT A LOSS...

GOING NUTS ...

Please help if you can!

Thanks in advance for any assistance!!

Really? A third thread? And still haven't replaced the fuel pump relay?

What has the best Volvo mechanic done for diagnosis?

I do not have a list of what he has done but the relay checked out OK
It's not throwing codes and there are no other symptoms to indicate particular problems
Also, he is trying to not just throw money and parts at it randomly

I'm sorry if my starting a third thread bothers you but I am getting near my breaking point!
In the last month I have lost my job, my truck (our only other vehicle) is giving problems, my wife has had surgery, and I'm late with a bankruptcy payment because we are running out of money. All I want is that car fixed and I was just hoping that someone on the forum that hadn't seen my previous threads might see this one and have had the same experience as I am having.

Thank you for trying to help.

Simply replying to your old threads bumps them back to the top. Then people can see the full history.

Since this is so consistent, it really shouldn't be hard to diagnose. I don't know how he tested the relay. Did he check for codes with VIDA or just a generic scanner? Did he monitor fuel pressure?

Good questions.
I'll call him this morning and ask them specifically.
Thank you.

As of 10:00 AM today:
Fuel pressure is OK
VIDA diagnostics only
Electronic throttle and other software reloaded
some improvement noted

more later

So he is checking fuel pressure while the car cuts out and dies?

This isn't a software problem unless you have a used throttle. But I don't know why the "best Volvo mechanic" would try "other software" for this.
