I had a series of bent valves I 5replaced after taking the head off...now I have no idea of what position you put the camshafts back in...we all know about aligning the cuts horizontally with the tool but each camshaft can be put in two positions 180 degrees apart....how do you start these GD things ??

 

If you use the cam shaft holding tool it only fits one way and the cams are set properly - I would not try it any other way, and you will need that tool to install the VVT gears (if applicable) anyway.. How did you adjust the valves?
