I found another car that could be really good I think. It's on eBay and seems like a real nice, clean car for a great deal. I ran a CARFAX check using the VIN # in the ad and it said that there was an alert for odometer not being actual mileage or something like that.

Alot of unknowns. Did it sit all that time? Past owner disconnect the odom? Just a broken cable? Someone fudge with it? Armed with the Carfax report, You could offer less. That may take the sting out of the unknowns.

 

Agree with Eric. Get the report, drive the car, have it checked out and then make your offer.

 

I think there is a way to pull the actual mileage from the computer, but not positive if you can on the 96. I know you can on the 95.
