Hello,

A guy on this forum said that the ECM might also be covered under the 10 year 200K miles warrenty which is on the ETM throttle body. I had my ECM replaced last november after my car had stalled.

So can anyone tell me if the ECM is under the 10 year 200K miles warrenty. Just want to make sure.

ETM's are under a 10 year / 200,000 mile warranty.

If in doubt call your local stealership.

 

yes it is. you can prolly go back to the dealer with the original receipt and get your money back, because last i heard they were returning the money for the parts and labor.

 

I know they are returning money. However I don't think you can go to the dealer. I think you got to send a copy of the actual slip somewhere. Not sure on that though.

 

Last December I mailed both of my reciepts for the ETM and the ECM to volvo corporation of north america. But they only sent me back the money that I spent for the ETM. Did this ECM warrenty come into effect just recently or did it come into effect at the same time as the ECM warrenty. Has anyone gotten their money back who had their ECM replaced. I have a 99 S80 2.9 and the ECM was replaced at 82k miles.

 

The Warranty is for the ETM not the ECM.
