Electronic Boost Control, Should I?

Electronic Boost Control, Should I?
Hello All!
Currently I am driving S80 2.5FT 2009 with these follow mod (Performance) done on the car:
1- Cat-Back Exhaust
2- Down Pipe
3- Upgrade to Polestar map (258bhp with 85Ethernal)
...- I've also shorten my wastegate actuator by a bit but did not measure how much have I proloaded the thing.
My local garage suggested that further for my next mod there are 2 available option:
1- Increase the turbo to TDO4HL t18
or
2- Install Electronic Boost control.
(They said Polestar new map should already allow us to put more boost into the system, but I was not sure)
So! I need a bit more juice.
Which one should I go for?
1- Turbo size increased - For me the mod should take a couple of days to finish and was not sure about how many Horse Power I can gain from this with the same ECU setting.
2- Electronic Boost Controller - Can be done within a day but now sure how can it over come the Turbo control valve and ECU not to sense the abnormally higher boost and cut back the fuel.
BUT I am very new to Volvo and their system.
-How will the ECU react to these mod?
-What is Turbo control valve doing and will it send the signal to ECU to hold back?
-Will these mod have any effect with the current (Polestar) Setting?
- How will Electronic Boost Control be connected to the system with the Turbo Control valve?
My worse nightmare would be wasting the money with no return in whatsoever.
I really need some help on this
Cheers Guys!
