Over on the Triumph (car, not motorcycle) Mail List we're having a discussion about Famous Irv and the 2.3 million miles on his 1966 P1800. What we're trying to determine is how much of the car is original and how many times has the engine, tranny, clutch etc been replaced or rebuilt. Does anyone on this forum know Irv and the answers?

i thought that a special on the discovery channel said that it had a newer tranny and engine rebuild, along with a few clutches, but they were all regular wear things, nothing went "bad"...perhaps check with the discovery channels webpage? it really is amazing, regardless of what was done...
