fix or get ride of?
I have a 2003 S60 Base with 277,000 miles on it and it needs new struts and strut mounts, bushings, new front lights (complete unit), and the inside door handle broke off. Plus the back shocks needs changed as well in the near future.
There is also something wrong that causes the tires to wear out badly in 6 months, I just put new used ones on. I've taken to 2 different dealerships and neither could figure out what is causing it.
Should I fix these issues or just get ride of it? I like the car and I get 27mgp with it and the high mileage doesn't bother me.
I know nothing about cars so need a little advice.
edit: I had the cat replaces less than 6 months ago and the timing belt last year

With the struts, mounts, control arms/bushings,possibly balljoints etc done you would need the alignment done anyway so all that should sort out the tire wear issues.
Having recently done the timing belt and assuming the engines condition was good despite the miles done you might as well keep it, especially if you enjoy driving her.
It seems a bit odd that 2 dealerships cannot diagnose the cause of the tire wear especially as the work you have described as required accounts for the likely cause.
Maybe they just want you to upgrade with a brand new or later model used car off their lot?

Who diagnosed the suspension problems?
I'd ask them about the tire wear (which I would think is the result of said problems)
Are you positive you need new lights or are they just really foggy?
If you have some basic tools you can likely replace that door handle yourself.
Anyway - looks like you're gonna spend about 1500 - 2000 bucks to fix her up, should last 12 -24 months before another major repair bill. What could you get for 120 - 180 bucks a month and would it be any more problem free for the next few years?
I think you'd just be buying someone elses problems, but that's my opinion.
