Add the following to other forum categories after the question mark and it will sort those as decending as well!

s=&pp=30&daysprune=14&sort=lastpost&prefixid=&orde r=desc

Each of the above tell the web site how to order the display of posts. & separates each command. Like "order=desc" means order descending. "daysprune=14" means show posts for the last 14 days. Etc.

I found that by going to another forum with the same forum software, making the settings below, then copying the part after the "?".
