I have a 2004 s40 LSE 1.9 Turbo. An Upward pointing arrow, I think it's for the "W" weather mode, is flashing. It will come on by itself and go off by itself.
It is like the spark has been retarted and it can get stuck in one of the higher gears. The gear problem can be solved by turning the car off and restarting but I never know when the arrow will stop flashing and the car is going to go back to normal performance. Ant ideas?

You have a fault code in the TCM. Need to get the code to know where to look.
