Default Dash lights flashing

We have a 1994850 wagon, we recently have had a a weird problem, the dash warning lights(gas light, battery light etc) will randomly flash for no reason. They kind of flicker on and off really fast. It happens at random times and not all the time. Has anyone had this problem or heard of this happening??
THANKS

Yep, Check all the grounds and battery connections (clean them as well with a solution of baking soda and water if they are corroded) and see if that helps, if not, as said above, the alternator is most likely going bad.

If the battery connections turn out fine, I would test the alternator with a digital multimeter or have it tested at a reputable shop. If the alternator decides to go, it would be at the worst moment, at the wrong location.
