my 90,91 stwgn 740 wont start before it died totally it would run ok then it would run rough when you came to a stop, sometimes. sometimes i would not even be able to start it but eventually it would start. not any more. new wire plugs ck fuses, ck gas pressure, changed dist, fuel pumps seem to be ok. does anybody have an idea?

 

You need fuel, air, ignition and compression to make the car run and you need spark and valve timing at the right time.
So, check compression, spark timing with a timing light and valve timing for TDC.
Now, seeing as you have a 91, I would suspect the crank angle sensor.
