Though they were stupid when I bought my S60. First cold day, they were the greatest invention since sliced bread.

Heated seats are generally reliable, as they are simple devices. There were a couple of threads in the past in the 850 forum, and I remember providing a wiring diagram. Heated seat-related problems are usually switch, relay, fuse, electrical connection or heating element related. There aren't that many things-to-avoids, as far as I know. Perhaps you should avoid cutting the seat in half, water it, etc...[8D]

It definitely is a nice feature, especially for those who live in colder regions.

Heated seats are great. What is there to avoid?

I mean I could see not getting them in a warmer climate. But here they are great in Winter.

Just to clarify -I'm up inMA where the daily temps arn't getting above 30 (F) so I'm using my heated seats just about daily. Is that ok. They're both working and correctly turn themselves off after "optimal tempature is reached" <- from manual. (although the light is still on and button is depressed)

So, not to worry then - I'll assume I'm using them correctly - as if there was a wrong way?

Let's see. Put your butt in the seat, turn the heater on, warm your buns. Yep, I guess that's the way to do it.[8D]

Seat heaters are great, but they make you feel like a girl when you start enjoying them.

In such case, you could perhaps place a girl upside-down on the driver's seat and you sit on her butt to keep each other warm, but then you would need a bit more head clearance than the car can provide. Wait, that's why Volvo decided to put the sun/moon roof, isn't it?

I must be missing something[8D].

Not what I had in mind but is sounds pretty kinky to me. I guess she would have to be very limber.

The question is: When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?

Now if those heated seats also vibrated we might be talking major turn on[8D].

Now some luxury cars come with massaging seats, don't they (Mercedes & Lexus)?

I won't go any further though....

Thethermostat isn't working, you're going to have to check under her seat.
