Hi,
The alternator is held by 3 bolts, one of which is kind of hidden closer to the engine block and you have to feel it in order to get to it. Also, you may need to use a combination of shallow or long socket with short extension or a universal joint. A few things have to come off too, such as the plate that holds the serpentine belt idler pulley. Once those bolts are off, tap it with a soft-face hammer or with a steel hammer + a piece of wood (wear eye protection if you decide to take this route) or something soft. I would keep track of where everything was.
Let me know if you need further assistance. Also, posting question in vehicle-specific sections help you better.
Good luck,
JPN

There is also a slide bushing where the long bolt goes through. You have to wobble the Alt. back and forth to get it to slide back some to pull the Alt. out.
Glad to hear your success. Good luck on the installation, and make sure that the battery is fully charged before you hook up the wires to the alternator.
