Help please!!!! 1991 240
Hi all. I need some help. I have a 91 240. After car warms up my car will die. I have had it die while idle, while accelerating, or while putting in gear after parked.
I have replaced fuel pump(external), fuel filter, in tank pump, strainer, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel relay.
What am I missing? I am losing sleep over this. Please any help?

I few random thoughts from your observation about it only happening once the engine is warm... I'd first check to make sure your warm air blend door is not stuck forcing preheated air into the MAF. also see if cleaning the MAF, throttle body, idle air valve (not sure if your model has this set up..) helps. If the air preheater is stuck it may have "cooked" the MAF. Final thought is to test the engine coolant temp sensor's resistance at cold and warm temps...

I am a total newbie but I have the same problem, and when I checked the on board diagnostics and got code 214--intermittent signal from RPM sensor.
For what it's worth!
I'm not even saying I have confirmed that's what the problem is (trying to figure it out just like you), but it's a thought, you should try the diagnostics.
