Default How do I know if engine is damaged by Valvoline error?

Hello- I had my oil changed Sunday morning, and by Monday night the red warning light came on that there was no oil pressure. I brought it back to Valvoline after adding 3 quarts of oil, since I only had to drive 3 miles to get there), and they re-did the oil change, and reimbursed me. My brother, a used Volvo dealer, insists that I should pursue a new engine from Valvoline, since there could be engine damage that would compromise the longevity of the engine.
If the car seems to be running fine now, do I pursue a new engine just in case?
I don't want to be unnecessarily litigious, but if I have issues with my engine down the road as a result, it may be harder to pursue.
Any advice?
Thanks

Yes. Whenever you have your oil changed, check your dipstick before you leave the premises.

It will be hard to pursue now as well. Do you have proof you added 3 quarts of oil?

This will be hard to prove the car was 3 qts. jow or you added 3 qts. of oil ....
They have insurance to cover their mistakes . You will have to see what happens or see what you will have to do get your engine fixed .
Good luck !
