I want this car
Hi i'm going to be buying a 2000 volvo but I took it to autozone to get it looked at and they said something was wrong with the lifter that whats causing it to make a ticking sound I was just wondering should I still BUY THIS CAR and if so how much would it be to REPAIR the lifter if needed.PLEASE HELP

The only way to avoid getting taken is to lean the basic about cars.
If they say there is a leak, make them show you the leak. If they say this/that parts need replaced, make them let you go into the shop and make them show you the parts; you don't have to be a mechanic to know a failing part for the most part (unless they are internal and only certain tests reveal such failure).
The lifter click, as already stated above, is normal as long as it disappears once the engine warms up. This is more noticeable in colder climate. If the clicking persists after the engine had warmed up, there is a trouble that needs attention.
