the boost guage has a low reading under WOT about 1/4 of white portion of guage.disconnected actuator hose now a little pass 1/2 car runs torguey(strong) just concerned about the right boost.i know the R was rated at 250 hp with bosch engine mgnt.anyone know any specs for this car,does it have a low pressure turbo?is the boost controller going out, all turbo hoseing looks ok! any info can help

 

The R has 240HP.
I would install an aftermarket gauge and see exactly how much boost it is making.
There might also be other problems. But install the gauge first then go from there.
