Default Minor body damage (photo) What to do?

I did some damage to my 02 S60 this morning.

This is a photo from my Blackberry. My wife had parked her truck in front of the garage door, to the left, but at an angle. Backing up with my head turned to the right, I could not see she was actually in my way and I did this to my car.

The truck has only a bad ding that can probably be popped out by a "ding doctor".

What is my best recourse? I am thinking about looking for a left light assembly from a wrecked Volvo but the body damage is probably something that needs to be done at the shop.

I live in Mesa, AZ, work in Scottsdale, plenty of shop around my work but I expect a $500+ ticket, less if I change the light myself, I suppose.

Thanks, man.

I will probably just have the panel banged out and the scratches filled in. Replacing the whole left side panel does not make sense on an 02, unless I know someone, but I don't

Already bidding on a tail light on the Bay

you can also get replacement fenders and quarter panels but will have to take it to body shop for painting and installion....however it save you from insurance claim and having vehicle show up on car fax as an accident if you DO NOT PUT IN INSURANCE CLAIM...up to you if you have the money i would say do it yourself if not turn it into your insurance if you plan on keeping the car! good luck!!!

The car was already crashed into and the Duron steel sub-frame had to be chopped off and replaced, and the insurance did not total the car, which I wish they did due to the Carfax deal.

So one more item on my Carfax...

I am 100% certain I can keep it under the deductible, so why bother with the insurance claim?

Again, it's an 02, it's not brand new. I am sure a good shop can make it look almost as new.

It's my first option if the other one does not work.

This one has a small little mark

that is a very small mark...hard to see in picture, the yellow outline is showing you where it is located...I will say for the price it is a lot better than the one you have on your car now...also you can get replacement qtrs....and I would recommend replacing the qtr panel especially since your car look like it is great shape and volvo's run for ever... I have an 2003 s60 and had a 97 960 that had 248,00 miles on it and was still running strong when I sold it...so it is totally up to you but if it was me I would get replacement parts and do it right..don't have it banged out it might not turn out the way you want it and then you've wasted your money...again good luck!

****ACTUALLY AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR PICTURE AGAIN**** the damage does not look that bad, you could leave the current qtr panel on the car and just have an body guy pull the dent and just blend in that section of the panel and you will have save money by not having to get another qtr and having it painted and installed so I would have the dent pulled and area blended in!!!!

Thanks I bought that very same tail light with the tiny mark. Actually there is another issue on the other side but I may be able to re-use the part from the broken one, who knows.

I know, it is very minor, I may actually look for a body shop guy who does it on the side.

Don't use someone that does it on the side. Only use a full time shop. I know the car is 8 years old but it looks good and it sounds like you plan to keep it for a while. Get the dent fixed at a good shop. You may pay $400 to $500 dollars but it will be worth it.

Try to locate Dent Doctor. Book a call, remove the rear light before he comes, and he will have it looking like new. They are realy good at repairing dents.Dont have it filled and sprayed ,it looks like a small job to me. Visit You Tube all repair vidios on there.
