S40 S60 S80 I don't really care. I plan on buying used and I just want a car that's quiet and one that isn't going to give me a lot of problems.

Also, can you guys comment on interior noise? Basically, I want to hear nothing.

 

Unless you plan on going deaf in the near future, that is gonna be a tough call.


Most of those cars seem like good buys, out of all the reviews ive ever read on any volvo, interior noise was almost never mentioned as a complaint. I myself am waiting for my S60 R to be delivered so i cannot attest to volvos interior sound. Only car ive ever driven that i would get in and not hear the engine, as in the car acted like it was turned off, was a BMW. volvo i think comes about as close, not sure though.

 

Well sorry to say it but your going to hear road noise in any car you buy it is just something you have to come to terms with.

How reliable are these things? It seems like certain S80s had issues, is that true of the newer models as well?

EDIT: And why is there an S80 and an S60 with similar mileage offered with the same price tag? Stuff like that worries me.
