Need help with my 2004 Volvo XC90 ECM
I have a 2004 Volvo XC90 that needs an ECM replaced can i purchase a used one and program it to my Volvo? Or is it a plug and drive for the year of my Volvo? Can I even buy a used one or do I need to buy new. Please I need help.

Does your car not run?
Generally you can't swap in a used ECM - the car won't run. And you can't use VIDA to "program" a used ECM either.
Someone like these guys can work with a used ECM and make it work for your car
