Maybe someone could help.
In mid february I order myself a brand spanking new S40.
This is probably my first and hopefully not last chance to have a new car (I always pick up low mileage used cars).

My question is:
What is a reasonable delivery time for this car?
I've currently been given a date 12 weeks from the date of order, this has gone from 6 before I placed the order, to 10 after and just recently up to 12.
Has anyone else recently took delivery of an S40 in the UK and how long did you have to wait.

I'm very frustrated at the moment because I can't get a straight answer from the dealership. They won't return my calls. I bet they'll be on the phone double quick when they want my 15k. I even tried calling Volvo direct who tried their best to help but just couldn't, oh well at least they tried!

I'm sorry but I am currently stuck in Japan and cannot answer the delivery time question. Try posting the same question in the S40 forum; someone there may be able to answer.

The dealer seems inferior; I would cancel whatever the order (if possible) and look for another dealer. If they are that slow, chances are that they will be as slow when the time comes to servicing your vehicle. Customer service has gone to the south-end worldwide.

Lastly, I hope you didn't show "I want it I want it" attitude at the dealer, because if you did, they would have taken advantage of you. Be willing to wait a bit longer if you must, to get the best buying & driving experience.

I was told by my dealer anywhere from 6-10 weeks. We ordered a C30. So we are waiting also.
