Has anyone seen the Volvo commercial where the dented rusted Volvo's come back to life? At the end of the commercial they show the new C70. HUBBA, HUBBA! Man I almost wet me knickers when I saw that the first time. Boy, as soon as I can get these wonderful children through college, and my house payed off and everything else paid for, WATCH OUT![8D]

 

It is very nice, I would like one too.

That is one beautiful C70! Especially in the metallic blue.





Personally, I like the coupe more than the convertible.

I like the tailsights, but whats with the antenna??

 

There is nothing wrong with a design-acceptable antenna. Also, most antennas get better reception than alternatives. The new C70 will also have Dynaudio® surround sound with a 910-watt digital amp!

 

i think that it looks great....quite a jump from my moms 240...

 

A few months ago I posted about the new six cylinder engine that Auto Week profiled. If you like the new c-70, you are going to nuts about the engine when it is available. My c-70 puts out 238 hp with the high pressure turbo...........its sort of sad that the new c-70 does not have a more performance oriented engine than the 2.5 that was stuck in it. Lastly, the only reason that I purchased my c-70 was because of the styling.............mine is a coupe. Believe me, for performance, my BMWs are ten times the auto in performance and integrity! But that c-70 styling............you just can't beat it!!!

Volvo 3CC Concept:

As seen before, the 3CC is a 2+1 passenger coupe that is 30% more aerodynamic than the current S40 sedan. It is equipped with an electric motor that makes the 3CC capable of 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) in 10 seconds and reaches a top speed of 136 km/h (85 mph).

A novel security feature of the 3CC is in the event of a frontal collision, the seats can move forward up to 20 cm in order to absorb the force of the impact for the occupants. As usual in Volvos, the steering column is collapsible.

Volvo also announced the C30, which is 8 inches shorter than a S40 and supposedly the smallest car Volvo has ever built. The C30 should be launched for 2006, although no other details were given. The 'C' suffix hints that it will be a coupe or convertible, though.
