We will be starting a ROTM (ride of the month) competition this month. This month will be the trial run. If there is little or no interest we will not continue it, so if you would like to see it stick around please PARTICIPATE!

Rules and Regulations:

1. Who can enter?
Any car, (modded or stock) can enter. What you will do is post in this thread that you would like to be nominated for ROTM and the other moderators and I will pick 5 cars to vie for the title every month. You must have at least three pictures of your car posted somewhere and provide the link to the pictures in your thread post. (Please do not post the pictures in this thread, only links.)


2. How will the voting work?
The moderators will pick 2 cars per month to vie for the title. I will create a poll where you (the public) will vote on your favorite. Voting will close the last day of the month. The same person CANNOT win ROTM 2 months in a row.


3. Are there prizes?
The prize will be bragging rights and a "Featured Ride" thread in the section of your choice dedicated to the pictures and story of your car. If there is a lot of interest we may look into getting some decals made, but that is dependent on interest.

This reminds me, sort of, of an afternoon spent at my buddy's house where there may have been a few brews consumed. His son was a high school junior and a budding high school journalist. Somehow, the two of us concocted an idea for his high school paper. "Junker of the Week" or something like that. Being in high school, there was no shortage of material to write about.

Anyway, we wrote up and photographed the kid's car, and highlighted its quirks like non-working windows, doors, accident history and the other lowlights. Got him an immediate promotion to Automotive Editor which in Dearborn, MI got him passes to official Ford events. And the column was so popular, he became Editor in Chief.

He's now graduated from college, but the column lives on.

Moral of Story: sometimes drinking IS good for you, or for someone else.

 

What does this have to do with anything? This is an actual thing that forums do...
