Default oil pan help

I had the oil changed today and was told that some of the threads from my oil pan have been crossthreaded and came off. they replaced my drain plug with another threaded plug and said that there are lots of threads in the oil pan and I should be ok. I was just wondering if this is true I need to make a trip to virginia tomorrow and I am not sure if its really safe any help here would be great.

If it's not leaking oil you should be fine. Check level on dipstick before you leave and first couple times you stop for gas if you're really paranoid about it.

Fill up the gas tank first. That'll give oil time to settle. Otherwise you might think it's low and accidentally overfill.
