Hello all, new member here. I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me find a solution. I found a resource online that said you could import a European Spec Volvo to the US and have it modified to fit the US requirements. However, when I contacted Volvo's Overseas Deliveries program, the person who answered me said that you could only import a US Spec vehicle into the United States.

My main reason for wanting to import a European Spec car is to have a Volvo with manual transmission. Does anybody have experience doing this?

My second question is: could I buy (for example) an XC70 or S60 or S80 here in the states and order a new manual transmission from that car from Volvo, and have it swapped out for the automatic transmission here in the US? Thanks all!
