Default relearn-DYI infor

Does anyone work for Volvo or have some knowledge on what they call a re-learn for your cars computer. I called them to get an idea of the cost and how long it would take. It irritates me and infuriates me when they say well it could be 5 dollars or 1000. That is just an exaggeration but you get my point. They also said that it might take multiple days?? What the????. I need someone on the inside an inside mole at Volvo or are they the only ones that can do this???

A relearn for what? What are you trying to fix? What car do you have?

Default Re-learn

Had my car inspected-a diag was done-they fixed everything-drove it and engine light and tire pressure light still come on. My garage says that the modules need to be reset. No one can tell me a cost??

So they "fixed everything" but did not clear the check engine light?

No one can tell you the cost because you provide vague information.

I am trying here... The garage called volvo for me and talked to them and gave them a full explaination and they gave a vague answer. I am struggling with figure out what the cost will be . I mean if there are 20 module how much does it cost for 1 module or some kind of basis to start from. I will have to go back to them and get actual codes but I am not sure how many modules would have to be updated to fix those codes.

I am trying to avoid paying tons of money to basically upload some files

It isn't "uploading some files".

If they fixed it and cleared the codes and the light came back... They didn't fix it.

If they fixed it but didn't clear the codes, have them clear them.

Not sure how to explain it. They did a diagnostic-found out what need to be fixed. I will have to get more clarification.
