Default Reliability of C70 Convertible?

My 2000 S40 was recently hit and totaled. For the record I had 0 problems with the car for 14+ years. I want to stick with Volvo. I thought about trying a convertible and the C70 sounds great. Is a convertible that great? Is the C70 reliable? I see posts about the top not always working so well. The one I am looking at is a 2006 with 45,000 miles. When should the timing belt and water pump be replaced? Tell me, do you like your C70 convertible? Are there known problems? I put an average of 5,000 miles a year on my S40, and it was in perfect shape until it got smashed.
thanks

beware of window regulators! It is a $1,000.00 dollar affair to replace the regulators. I had a c70 and kept it because I enjoyed the styling. The regulators both broke and then the immobilizer went kaput. That was the end of my c70 love affair.

I have a 2008 c70 convertible and have had no issues with the top. On average, we put the top down and up about three times a week, for 8 months, then up for the remaining 4 months. (we live in Arizona) Knock on wood, we are very happy with our C70. Glad you didn't ask about the premature wear of the tires. That would be another thread.
