Hi I just bought a 2006 xc90 and after finding and fixing the problems with the check engine light im moving onto other issues. It has a factory installed RES with the screens only in the head rest and dvd player in the center console. This is not a dealer installed system. I found out from the dealer that there is a difference. The guy I bought the car from lost the remote so I need to buy another one. The dvd plays just fine using the buttons on the dvd player but the sound seems to be all the way down and cant hear it through headphones or plugin speaker. Thus why I need the remote to turn up the volume. Does anyone know what remote I need (part number) so I can order one. Or does anyone have one I can buy off them. I called the dealer and they had a few different remotes but didn't know which one I needed without my vin number which I dont have on hand right now. Nor did they know if any of the other remotes other than the specific remote I need for my system would work with my system. Thank you for your help in advance.

 

So I called the Volvo dealer today and found out the Volvopart number for the remote I need. (3069541). They want $150 for it. 😕. Does anyone know if there is another part number for this remote. I can't find it anywhere.
