Returning to Volvo- help me choose
In the past I've owned a 145 and a couple of 240's. At the time i was broke, they came cheap but i was not in a place in life to maintain them so they moved on.
Now i am in the market for a cheap daily driver and I am thinkin about returning to volvo.
I still love 240's but I never got good MPG and people want too much money for anyhting that isn't falling apart. All the models since then are a blur to me.
So, among models in the 10-15 year old range what gets the best MPG? Which have issues? Which tend to be undervalued?
On the MPG quesion, don't bother posting your actual mileage. Someone will call you a liar and my original question will get lost in the flame war. We know these cars don't get great mpg but some are better than others, I just want to know which ones.
Budget is 2-3K
Thanks

Yeah, i'm looking at the V70's - They sorta feel like 240's felt in late 90's they were cheap and under-appreciated.
I'm seeing V70's with 150k for under $3,000 - might be just what I'm looking for.
